Boise is a great place to live!

All real estate is local, and Boise ID real estate is no different.  Even within the area, there are big differences in the communities.  Overall, you will find that Boise ID real estate is a solid investment and Boise is a great place to live.

Recent articles about Boise have kept our real estate market strong.  Boise was listed as #4 on Forbes 2006 “Best Places for Business and Careers” list. It was also #8 on Money Magazine’s 2006 “Best Places to Live” list.  Many factors make Boise stand out.  Besides the cost of living and doing business, we have Boise State University offering quality higher education and producing valuable employees. Boise High School continually ranks in the top 1000 of the nation's public schools (see Newsweek). Boise has also been profiled in National Geographic and has recently been featured in Sunset, Forbes and Country Living.

Recreational opportunities abound in Boise.  Besides extensive hiking and biking opportunities in the foothills through the Hull’s Gulch trail system, the Boise River Greenbelt provides an urban trail system.  The river through Boise is a popular spot for fishing, rafting and swimming.  Bogus Basin Ski Resort is just 16 miles from downtown Boise.  It offers downhill and cross-country skiing as well as snowboarding and tubing. For a completely different experience, there are lighted night trails.

Boise is also home to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival whose 760 seat amphitheater is located in a reserve on the Boise River. The Morrison Center for the Performing Arts is located on the Boise State University campus as is the 30,000 seat Bronco Stadium,  known for its blue Astroturf.  Boise State is also home to the Taco Bell Arena, a 12,000 seat basketball stadium.

Boise homes are as diverse as the people who choose them.  You might find a bungalow in Boise’s Historic Northend to your liking.  Or, perhaps, you would prefer a downtown condo overlooking the Idaho State Capitol.  Whether you prefer foothills or farmland, Boise has a home for you.

Most experts agree that this is a great time to buy a Boise home.  Not only is there plenty of inventory in the Boise ID real estate market, but the prices are great.  Still, you need a local expert to help you identify the best deals.  Sue Dahlgren is that expert.  Sue is an experienced and knowledgeable real estate professional working with buyers and sellers in the Boise ID Real Estate market.
